(3Jn 1:13-15)

PRAYING FOR FAMILY, FRIENDS, CHURCH & NATION:

May God‘s word bridge the ages for your encouragement, (3Jn 1:13-15).  #TakeHeart #WeSaluteYou

MORNING WATCH NOTES:

Here John wishes the same joy he has experienced in Christ to be the same for those to whom he writes. “Our friends “greet” (salute) you.“ A salute is a sign of honor, respect and courtesy. Those with John share the same thoughts and actions as Gaius and Demetrious.

John references some others who should also be saluted. He extends this same greeting to even the least of those (are these those who stood against Diotrephes? – v10); those who showed kindness snd hospitality to the “traveling, teachers”.  John salutes all who extend such courtesy.

Lord, this letter’s reach extends encouragement through the ages to all, even to us today.
