MORNING WATCH NOTES:
So, do I really love God? Yes! How do I know I love God? Because I strive to faithfully live out, obey God’s word. I strive to faithfully pattern, my life after the life of Christ. There’s no pride in that statement. It is what I do. “That’s impossible,” one might say. Well, yes, it is.
The impossible requires that I must depend daily on God’s Holy Spirit to fill me and to lead me. (Psm 143:10; Jhn 14:17; 16:13; Rom 8:14; Gal 5:16, 22-25; Eph 5:18). I’m not perfect. I often fail. 1Jhn 1:8,9 is often my retreat. But I continue moving forward in the practice of following Christ. Lord, my love for you drives me to follow you, obey you and serve you. I strive to be consistent.
