Lord, this is one of those moments when a cry for help in our nation seems lost in the din of chaos.
Our nation has all but lost her moral underpinnings. She has rejected God’s wisdom. Good and evil are redefined. She casts off restraint. Destruction is normalized. We find many who are anxious, fragmented, frustrated, angry and deeply perplexed and often feeling deceived.
Lord, I am only one, but I am seeking the welfare of the city [my nation] (Jer 29:7).
I know that you O Lord, remain patient, purposeful, and redemptive—even in the midst of moral collapse. I am praying your Spirit to hover over the places of unrest today and see us through this difficult time.
May we be repentant of our pride. May we hear truth from men and women of God in our day. Lord, may we see awakening in our land.
