MORNING WATCH NOTES:
Everyone has concerns. But Paul teaches us to not be over anxious to the point of distraction by our concerns. Instead, turn your problems into prayer projects. The Message Bible says it well: “Let PETITIONS [requests, appeals to God] and PRAISES [applause, thanks to God] shape your worries into prayers letting God know your concerns.“
When I make this my daily practice I discover that God begins to redirect my thoughts, allowing his peace to settle in. I have found the Lord Jesus to be always a faithful eternal sentinel standing guard over my heart and mind. Father, I put my daily concerns into your capable and trustworthy hands. Semper Fi!

Precious Lord Jesus, I lift You up, there is safety in the arms of Jesus, sweetly my soul shall rest. Jesus, my heart’s dear refuge, Jesus, You died for us all, firm on the Rock of Ages, ever my trust shall be. Precious Lord Jesus, You are our Rock of Ages and You are our wonderful Good Shepherd. Our Good Shepherd, You have promised to feed, and to guide and shield us.
Jesus, You make us lie down in fresh, tender green pastures and You lead us beside still and restful waters. You refresh and restore our lives and You lead us in the paths of righteousness, uprightness and right standing – not for us earning it, but for Your Name’s sake.
Precious Jesus, as we walk through deep and sunless valleys, we will not fear or dread evil for You are with us; Your rod to protect and Your staff to guide, the very knowledge You being there protecting and guiding us brings us so much comfort. Jesus, You prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. You anoint our heads with oil and our brimming cups run over.
Surely Your goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow us all the days of our lives and Your presence shall be our dwelling place. Because of Your love reaching down to the world and us in faith receiving You and Your love > You have promised we shall live with You eternally in Your house forever and forever. O what love You have shown to us, You want us to be with You eternally forever. You have prepared a special place for each one of us to live. O how You love us! Precious Jesus, I come to You in Your love and I thank You for always being there every moment of every day. You hold the whole world in Your hands and we are looking to You our Rock of Ages, our Good Shepherd Jesus, amen.
